I wake up in the morning and can't wait to get my hands in the mud. My passion for pottery began as a child making mud pies with my sister. Even way back then, I wasn't making mud pies but creating pieces of what I thought to be master pieces carefully forming objects with tiny fingers.

"Pottery is an art, but to me it is very spiritual. If you look deeply enough, it parallels faith and that is why it is such a passion to me. Clay at first glance may look useless, but can be made into something useful and beautiful, which is what I hope God can do with me."

"Yielding to pressure will take the clay off center and it has to have the potter’s patient hand to work it back to center and turn it into a useful vessel. Just like pressures in our lives can take each of us off the right path and God has to direct each of us back."

I am so thankful the Gallery for offering classes, I would have never had the opportunity to learn the art had it not been for the gallery.
